Barry Valentine : ウィキペディア英語版 | Barry Valentine Barry Valentine (26 September 1927 - 16 October 2009) was a Canadian Anglican bishop who also served as an assisting bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. Born in Essex, England, Valentine was educated at Brentwood School and St John's College, Cambridge.〔Who's Who 2008: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 978-0-7136-8555-8〕 He was ordained in 1952.〔Crockford's clerical directory London, Church House 1975 ISBN 0-19-200008-X〕 Valentine was a curate at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal and then the incumbent at Chateauguay-Beauharnois, Quebec. He was Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Montreal then Rector of Saint Lambert. Later he became Dean of Montreal in 1968 and was ordained to the episcopate as the ninth Bishop of Rupert's Land in 1970, serving there until his resignation in 1982.〔(Anglican Journal )〕 In 1985 he was made an assistant bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, where he served until he was abruptly fired by Bishop Theodore Eastman in 1988.
